Sara Ruiz Sepúlveda (Foios, Valencia 1980) graduated in Architecture and studied in Valencia and Rome.
As an architect, she learnt how to look at the surrounding spaces and landscapes from different perspectives, how to read their shapes and balances and how to develop spatial vision and build up and create what didn’t exist before.
As an artist she took part in many multicultural workshops and courses in Spain and abroad learning different art and painting techniques.
She understands her paintings as a mean to express her feelings through colors and texture. She is mostly interested in reflection and light, how water can materialize landscape figures and draw their limits and stop time and catch images on his surface before they will vanish. She often use mixed media on paper, canvas or wood.
Since the beginnings of her artist career, she took part in solo and collective exhibitions and collaborated usually with interior designers and architects projects through her artworks, as at Caldes de Montbui Apartments.
Her next opening will be in Barcelona at the Civic Center Pere Pruna on 18th of February at 19h and it’ll be able to visit until 26th of February from 10 to 13h and 16 to 21h.
